I've always wanted a booth. I'm not exactly sure why--maybe because eating out at restaurants has always been fun for me. Anyway, Michael created this booth for us in our new house, and I think he did a great job. On the wall I finally have a place to display some of my menu collection--a collection I started many years ago.
I have menus from places I've worked like the Thunderbird Cafe in Ft. Collins and the Hungry Traveler in Estes Park. And I have menus from some of our favorite restaurants like Pippins in Kansas City and Collacis in Lousville, CO. Plus I have menus from Hawaii, Germany, Sweden, Greece, Czechosolvakia and Hungary. I have a menu from the restaurant Michael and I went to on our honeymoon (almost 40 years ago!)--a place called the Three Theives in CO Springs. I've carried these menus around for years always thinking I'd have some place to display them, and finally I do!
